Winding through the dramatic gorges of southeastern Chongqing, the Wujiang River showcases its most spectacular section, known as the "river gallery" — a poetic name for its roughly 100-kilometer scenic stretch.

Towering cliffs and rugged peaks rise along the river, while the water shifts from calm and crystal-clear to swift and surging as it passes through the gorges. Ancient towns, ferry crossings, historic riverside paths, and cliffside burial sites remain along the banks, where dramatic natural scenery meets the region's rich cultural heritage. Together, they form a distinctive scenic corridor along the water in southeastern Chongqing.
