Qiaoguo, also known as qiqiao pastries, is one of the most iconic treats enjoyed during the Qixi Festival, China's traditional celebration of love inspired by the legendary reunion of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl.

Made from flour, sugar and oil, these crispy pastries are shaped into a variety of delicate designs. For generations, people have enjoyed qiaoguo as part of Qixi customs, praying for wisdom, dexterity, and a happy, fulfilling life. Though recipes and flavors have evolved over time, the timeless hopes for skill, happiness, and good fortune continue to be passed down from one generation to the next.
