How should EU-China ties be defined? Insights from MEP Dostál

Amid intensifying geopolitical conflicts, rising trade protectionism and profound changes in the global order, how should the European Union redefine its place in the world? In a recent interview with China Daily, Member of the European Parliament Ondřej Dostál said the EU needs to strengthen its internal cohesion, enhance its strategic autonomy and embrace an increasingly multipolar world with greater openness. He said China and the EU should make peace the foundation of cooperation, pursue prosperity through cooperation, and jointly uphold a stable multilateral order while respecting the differences between both sides.
