China, US to hold new round of economic and trade talks in ROK

China will hold a new round of talks with the United States over economic and trade issues, the Ministry of Commerce said on Sunday.

According to an online response from the ministry's spokesperson to media inquiries on Sunday, He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice-Premier of the State Council, will lead a Chinese delegation to hold economic and trade consultations with the US side in the Republic of Korea from May 12 to 13.

Guided by the important consensus reached at the Busan meeting and previous phone calls between the two countries' heads of state, the two sides will conduct consultations on economic and trade issues of mutual concern.
