2026 Discover China Cultural Tour kicks off in Beijing

The launch ceremony of the 2026 Discover China Cultural Tour kicked off at Beijing Shunyi Grand Theater. Twelve ambassadors and charges d'affaires, as well as diplomats from 40 countries, attended the event. 

Guests appreciated the exhibition Flourishing Gateway, Colorful Shunyi and reviewed the five-year development achievements and 2026 plans of the Discover China initiative. This year, foreign diplomats will visit Beijing, Chongqing, Guangdong, Sichuan, Hubei, Shaanxi and other regions to experience China's integrated cultural and tourism development and witness the progress of Chinese modernization.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the program has gathered over 500 diplomats from 107 countries since 2021, and will cover 24 provincial-level regions nationwide by the end of 2026.
