Jeffrey Sachs: Nations looking to Chinese modernization for inspiration
China's ongoing two sessions are drawing widespread attention from scholars and observers around the world. In a recent exclusive interview with China Daily, Jeffrey Sachs, president of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, said China's technological leadership is already well recognized globally, prompting many countries to look to Chinese modernization for inspiration.
"China has the ability to help other countries build the 5G networks, the fast rail, the grid required for EV charging infrastructure, and more responsive city management," Sachs added.
Sachs noted that China's outward foreign direct investment, especially from the tech startups, is warmly welcomed by many countries.
According to Sachs, the coming decade will witness a significant increase in China's outward capital flows, particularly from its high-value-added and innovative-driven sectors.
