BEIJING -- Floral decorations at Beijing's downtown Tian'anmen Square and Chang'an Avenue have been completed ahead of China's massive V-Day military parade in early next month.

These floral displays feature over 100 varieties of plants arranged in 10 sets of flower beds, with a theme focusing on remembering history, honoring martyrs, cherishing peace and creating the future, according to the Beijing Municipal Forestry and Parks Bureau.

The decorations will remain on show following the parade and last until the 2025 National Day holiday in October.

The parade, to be held on Sept 3 in Beijing, marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
