A perfect day in Chongqing begins with a bowl of chaoshou (a type of dumplings) with spicy chili oil sauce, delivering a bite that balances tenderness with heat.

At Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, which is also known as Chongqing Museum, an exhibition delves into the Three Gorges' history, showcasing navigation, mythology, poetry, heroic tales with stone sculptures, bronze objects and tablet inscriptions.

The museum recently launched a special exhibition about the city's Dazu Rock Carvings, Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu province, and other ancient Chinese grotto art masterpieces. The exhibition features sculptures and offers a cultural immersive experience enhanced by advanced technology.

Tourists walk around the city to catch the signature cable car across the Yangtze River, which can be captured between residential buildings and above a bridge with photos.
