Discover Tibet: The first large-scale zoo

The Chushul Zoo of Lhasa, Tibet autonomous region, is the region's first large-scale zoo. Since its opening in 2018, it has been offering sightseeing, popular science education and plateau animal protection.

What kind of animals are in the zoo? How do some of the animals from the plain areas survive in a high-altitude region? How are animals cared for? And how does the zoo help rescue injured wild animals? Follow China Daily reporter Palden Nyima to find out.
