Apple Inc held a special event without a single hardware device to be found on Monday.

At the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, service was the protagonist at the spring event as the company announced a magazine subscription service, a credit card and an online game service and an original streaming TV service, called Apple News+, Apple Card, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+, respectively.

In the fourth quarter of last year Apple's total revenue was $84.3 billion, down 5 percent year-on-year, but its receipts from services increased 19 percent and saw a gross margin of 62.8 percent, higher than the 58.3 percent in the same period for 2017.
